1. Measure the temperature around the water temperature sensor.
2. Measure the resistance between terminals of the water temperature sensor.
- If the resistance is not as shown in the graph, replace the water temperature sensor.

Mazda 6 Service Manual: Oil seal replacement
1. Drain the ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT.)
Caution
The oil seal is easily damaged by the sharp edges of the drive
shaft splines. Do not let the splines contact the oil seal.
