Mazda 6 Service Manual: Actuator cable removal
1. Remove the plug hole plate.
2. Remove the cover from the cruise actuator. (See CRUISE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove the installation nut and pull the cruise actuator toward you.
4. Move the throttle, and remove the end fitting of the actuator cable from the throttle.
5. Squeeze the hooks of the grommet, and remove the actuator cable.
6. Remove the actuator cable from the bracket
7. Remove the end fitting of the actuator cable from the cruise actuator.
8. Squeeze the hooks of the grommet, and remove it from the cruise actuator.
9. Remove the actuator cable.
Cruise actuator inspection
1. Disconnect the cruise actuator connector.
2. Measure the voltage, continuity and resistance at the cruise actuator
terminals as indicated below.

Operating Inspection
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (engine OFF).
2. Verify that the HOLD indicator light is not illuminated. Depress the HOLD
switch and verify that the HOLD indicator light illuminates.
