1. Remove the rear map light. (See REAR MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Inspect for continuity between the rear map light terminals using an ohmmeter.
- If not as specified, replace the rear map light.

When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, check the malfunction
indicator lamp (MIL) indication and diagnostic trouble code (DTC), then
diagnose the malfunction according to following flowchart.
- If a DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC
