THERMOSTAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Remove the plug hole plate.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Drain the engine coolant. (See COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS.)
4. Remove the drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT.)
5. Remove the washer tank.
6. Remove the P/S oil pump.
Note
7. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
9. Refill the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT.)
10. Inspect the engine coolant leakage. (See ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE INSPECTION.)


THERMOSTAT INSPECTION
Inspect the thermostat for the following.
- If not as specified, replace the thermostat.
