Mazda 6 Service Manual: Cruise actuator removal/installation
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Cover Removal Note
Unclamp the clips of the heater hoses at the front of the cover.
Cruise actuator inspection
1. Disconnect the cruise actuator connector.
2. Measure the voltage, continuity and resistance at the cruise actuator
terminals as indicated below.

1. Remove the VIS control solenoid valve. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Inspect airflow between the ports under the following conditions.
If not as specified, replace the VIS control solenoid valve.
If as specified, carry out the Circuit Open/Short Inspection.
