1. Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
2. Verify that the selector lever is in P position.
3. Depress the brake pedal and verify that the selector lever can be shifted from P position.
- If a malfunction is found, inspect the interlock cable. (See INTERLOCK CABLE INSPECTION.)

The cruise set indicator light will illuminate for 3 seconds,
when condition detection mode is on.
If the RESUME/ACCEL switch on the cruise control switch is
malfunctioning, the cruise set indicator light will not give a correct
